If you are in Oakland, Gregory's is a MUST to check out. I actually stumbled upon this through a gifted cake (german chocolate) brought to me at work. But when I came in person I was amazed at how many cakes, pies, and cheesecakes they offered! It is a tightly packed place and the line is usually out the door, as they limit how many people come in probably due to fire code. We got the key lime pie and apple streusel cheesecake. You can pick up a slice of each available cake/pie or I believe they take orders of whole cakes/pies. The key lime pie was very rich but delicious and so creamy. The apple streusel was also delicious and reminded me of half of an apple cobbler and half of a cheesecake - which are both top tier desserts honestly. If you do decide to come here, visit early as they do sell out early as well! Definitely should check out if you are a big dessert/cake/pie person.

Gregory, you did it again! This apple streusel cheesecake was dream worthy and I will be craving this for weeks to come! It was sweet, crumbly, and creamy. A perfect dessert combo. My fiancé ordered the red velvet cake and that was also very tasty. It was moist and had a great ratio of cream cheese frosting. I look forward to my next order!

My first time experiencing Gregory's Gourmet Desserts was a pleasant one. I like and respect his process. One party enters at a time, chooses their treats, and exits. I was a party of one so I was able to take my time to choose the goodies I wanted. I chose Gregory's signature peach cobbler, a cheese cake, and a chocolate chip cookie for my drive home. The desserts were delicious. Oakland needs more places like Gregory's, and less like Ediths Pies,( which is in the same neighborhood, but over priced and not as good). I wish Gregory great success. I heard of Gregory!s from instagram and had to give them a try. When I drove there, I knew I found the place as it had a line 8 people deep. It's a tiny establishment able to fit two customers at a time. The lady and gentleman working there were friendly and helpful. I got the sweet potato cake and was torn on which cheesecake to try. The gentleman said the apple strudel cheesecake started it all and I was sold. Both were delicious:) I also got a dozen and a half cookies ranging from chocolate chip to oatmeal raisin to snickerdoodle to bring back to my wife and friends in Santa Rosa. I'll definitely be back :)

Truly is Oakland's best kept secret. You may walk right past this delicious bakery as it is located behind a gate, down some stairs, and behind another door. Recently it has been growing in popularity so there may be a line, especially on weekends. They only allow one party in at a time, and it's like walking into your own personal bakery closet ha! Small, cute, and clean. The staff is friendly and efficient. The key lime is delicious though I personally like mine with a touch more lime. The cheesecake is phenomenal. They also do to go orders way past the time their store front closes.

I stumbled upon this place on my first visit to Oakland. I had heard about it but on this day I literally walked on it and hollered here's the place. The inside in very small but organized. You let them know what you want and it's prepared for you. Because of the size you kinda can have two at a time come in but it's not a long wait unless you're in the crowd but it's so worth it. I purchased an orange cranberry scone and the best eight it up pound cake slice! I couldn't make it to my hotel before it was devoured and I went back for another slice! If I knew how to package an entire cake and carry it on the plane I would. Whenever I visit Oakland, this place is a must for me. I can't wait to come back.
